Improv for Dementia Caregivers
No experience necessary!
People with dementia live in the moment. Too often caretakers and loved ones of those with dementia struggle to bring them into our world, trying to remind them of a past that they have trouble connecting with. This can lead to frustration, confusion, anger and conflicts. Improv for Dementia Caregivers offers another way: to go with them and join our loved ones or patients in their moment. By using the tools employed by professional improvisational actors, learn how you too can join others in the moment to find beauty, fun, connection and joy with your loved ones or patients. Available as a single-session introductory workshop or as an extended class depending on the needs and interests of your group.
Improv for Fun
No experience necessary!
Do you want to be more outgoing, funny, light-hearted, or fun to be around? Do you want to be able to find the humor in a situation and be able to enjoy it yourself or share it with others? Do you wish you were a more engaging speaker when in front of an audience, meeting, or classroom? Have you ever watched a show like "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and wished you could be playful and spontaneous like the performers on stage? In Improv for Fun, you'll learn to play like an improvisational comedian through games, exercises, and scene work. Strengthen your comedic skills as well as your ability to listen, express yourself, and much of what's offered in the other Improv For Life classes (in smaller doses, of course), while have a great time doing it! Having a good time isn't all fun and games - check out what The New York Times has to say about how fun is actually serious business.
Improv for Change
No experience necessary!
Do you ever wish you were a little more like someone you know, or a little less like someone else you know? Is there some part of how you act that you'd like to change, enhance, or get rid of? If so, Improv for Change can help! Using games, exercises, and scene work, Improv for Change will give you the opportunity to explore new ways of expressing yourself, and allow you to practice being the person you want to be in a safe and supportive space.
Improv for Difficult Conversations
No experience necessary!
Few people enjoy difficult conversations, but sometimes they have to happen. There are times when you have to tell someone you care about something they don't want to hear, ask for something you don't think you'll get, admit to wrong-doing, go to an interview, or put yourself in some situation that might be stressful for you. Improv for Difficult Conversations will allow you, through both serious and comedic scene work, the opportunity to practice having the conversations you'd rather avoid, and gain insight into the other side of the conversation, all in a supportive environment. Best of all? You'll have fun doing it!
Improv for the Moment
No experience necessary!
It's so easy to coast through life on auto pilot, not being fully engaged in what you're doing. But while you're thinking about what you're going to do later tonight, or about how great your weekend was, or about the email you wish you could be sending right now, you could be missing out on something that's happening right in front of you. In Improv for the Moment, you will participate in an enjoyable series of exercises and games that will challenge and hone your ability to stay focused on the moment at hand rather than allowing your mind to wander.
Improv for Levity (Seriously, Stop Taking Yourself So Seriously!)
No experience necessary!

Improv for Levity offers an alternative - taking yourself, and life, just a little less seriously. Enjoyable exercises, games, and scene work will challenge you to expand your comfort zone and give you the tools to take make your life easier.
